Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots said, “We call on ABC News to immediately stop all reckless and false reporting, and we are putting all media outlets on notice that false political attacks on the American people will no longer be tolerated. We demand the media report responsibly.”

For some time now, I have been saying the news media in general, TV reporting in particular, is becoming more biased, more irresponsible, and straying further away from journalism’s ideals: to report a story fairly and without bias.

If you read the story referred to above [follow the link], you can clearly see the arrogance, the audacity of the national news media to report a story without doing a thorough investigation into it

I am a former print journalist, and believed and still believe in the ideals of journalism. I became more and more disillusioned with the bias of newspapers and broadcast journalism, so I quit the profession.

I have about as much respect now for journalists as I have for politicians–which is not saying much.

Long gone are the days when Walter Cronkite was the most trusted man in journalism.  Long gone is his iconic, “And that’s the way it is.”

Journalism and journalists have become as untrustworthy and despicable as politicians; Obama, in particular.
